Recounting the Exploits of a Famous WASP Pilot

  • Aviation Museum of New Hampshire 27 Navigator Road Londonderry, NH, 03053 United States (map)

24-year-old Mae McCain flees from New York City at the beginning of the COVID lockdown to her great-grandparents’ abandoned farmhouse in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. In the attic of the old house, Mae finds a family secret and gradually discovers why it was hidden for so long. Ruth is an aviator of another time, blazing new history as she breaks through old boundaries.

Join author Margaret DiBenedetto for tales of her mother, Ruth Reynolds, who was a member of the Women’s Airforce Service Pilots and ferried almost every type of WWII transport and combat aircraft from manufacturing plants to air bases around the country.

DiBenedetto is the author of Silver Dollar Girls.
